Merry Non-Denominational Day!

Whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Tet, or Ramadan, you're all going to love our gift to you. You may have already noticed the first... Our new layout! But here is a complete list of everything we have given you. Enjoy!
  • New look and feel for the whole site.
  • New "TSO Information Center" on the main page which gives the current TSO time, news, city status, and links.
  • New Forums layout, organization, and visitor ranks.
  • New links section featuring links to other official and unofficial TSO sites.
  • New Casino Objects game guide.
  • Updated Interactions Guide layout.
  • New pet breed pictures.
  • Updated Store Owners guide with Accessory/Clothing rack information.
  • Property Upgrade Calculator updated to be in-line with the Property Upgrades Guide.
  • Updated Relationship Web tutorial.
  • Updated Skills Guide with more information.
  • Objects Catalog layout updated with name and price listings.
  • Large pictures added for each object in the catalog.
  • Objects Catalog statistics added.
  • Current cities and lost cities pages updated with larger city thumbnails.
  • Current Cities page updated with city openings, data rollbacks, and wipe dates.
  • Bug pages updated with new bugs.
And as if that wasn't enough, we'll be extending the guides section very, very soon. It would be done in time for Non-Denominational Day, except that I procrastinate a ton. So! Now the good things will last even longer! But anywho, I digress.

More guides, more updates, and lots more fun to come. Please enjoy our gift to all of you, and expect to see more great additions in the new future.

Happy Holidays!!

Mystic Tree Mini Guide

The Mystic Tree can be quite the tricky plant. Through lots of pruning, watering, and comfort-raising viewing, however, we have cracked this flora's code, and are sharing it with everyone in a pretty awesome mini-guide.

Check out what makes the Mystic Tree tick... Here!

Enjoy!

Second Year Anniversary

Happy Second Anniversary to all players who are celebrating their second year in The Sims Online. To commemorate this occasion Maxis is giving out a special “Mystic Tree” object to all players who have had a continuously active account for two years. Appearing in your inventory as a “Mystery Gift”, this new 2x2 tile object is a tree that will bloom and bear a special fruit if cared for properly. When eaten, this special fruit is said to raise your motives or add one skill point to your highest skill under 20. The tree cannot be traded or set for sale in stores, but will go back into your inventory if you move out of your lot. Take a look at the tree in its bloomed state below, and visit our objects catalog for the full description.

Update: We have found that if you use one of the crafted sprinklers with the tree, it will NOT bloom. They must be watered by hand.

Happy Holidays

‘Twas the night before Christmas (well, not really) and all through Test Center, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. Yeah right! Everywhere we look Sims are having parties and playing with their new toys. MOMI really outdid herself this year not only did we get the usual turkey, snow people and tree but a cute little Santa and a white teddy bear complete with Santa hat. The snow has fallen as far as the eye can see, Sims are crowded around their fireplaces, snuggled under blankets and drinking hot coco with marshmallows (kind of have to use your imagination). This version with the new objects should hit production cities tomorrow.

Thank you all for making TSO Mania the success that is, we are humbled by the amount of fans, visitors and friends that we have made through this site. Thank you all for the emails and submissions you are what makes this site unique. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and may all your wishes and dreams come true. Now, I’m off to snuggle under my covers in hope that Santa Sim brings me a pink poodle.

Marriage and Printing Presses?

Continuing our series of past designs for The Sims Online, we would like to present to you the designs for Marriage and the Paper and Printing Press. These highly anticipated features were never implemented into the game for unknown reasons. Will we ever see a wedding ceremony performed by a judge? Will we ever be able to run our own newspaper columns? Nobody but Maxis knows. We invite you now to look back at the past:

Visit the Marriage and Paper and Printing Press designs, or take a look back at previous issues of this series with Custom Content or the Original Jobs Designs.
