Custom Content ... for the Visitor Design

A player wandering the world will automatically download custom content so that they can view it. We will give them some tools for managing this experience.

Proxy
When a player enters a house (or encounters a Sim) with custom content, they will enter the property before all the content is downloaded. In its place, the player will be "proxy" content: whatever is chosen as the proxy from the stock Maxis content. As the content is downloaded, it will be updated.

Options We will add a submenu to the options menu: custom content.
  • View "all ages" custom content
  • View "adult-only" custom content
  • Upload custom content (see upload section) for content creators.

Parental Controls
During the Parental Control set-up process, a parent can lock either of the above options off.

Flagging Inappropriate Content
Complain tools will be updated to accommodate a report re: all types of custom content.
