Version beta/update-27a in Sunrise Crater

Version beta/update-26 in Sunrise Crater

The update today fixes a couple small, but important bugs:
  • Crafting table objects now correctly add to inventory instead of being pseudo-stuck on the source lot
  • Job lots no longer accidentally affect top 100 ranking of lots with similar DBID.

Skills Guide Updated

Decay Away!
How is everyone enjoying the implementation of skill decay in FreeSo?

To help you understand it better, the Skills Guide has undergone an update to include information about skill decay. We also took the opportunity to add a new image of what the skills page looks like in FreeSO, and the skill locks section and chart now reflect that you receive a new skill lock every 7 days.

Version beta/update-22 and beta/update25 in Sunrise Crater

A bit of balancing was done in this latest game version:
  • Skill degredation for locked skills has now been implemented. Only skill points that are locked will not degrade.
  • Solo job objects now give less benefit for a large number of people working on the object at the same time. Sixteen players are needed for maximum bonus (was 12), 2.5x maximum multiplier.
  • Canning station bonus has been changed from 10 to 0

The second update today includes a fix to bring the rate of skill decay in-line with what it was in TSO, and skill decay will be less harsh after two skills have been maxed, up to a total of 50 points. After 50 points, decay will be harsher.

Version beta/update-20 and beta/update-21 in Sunrise Crater

These updates include further attempts to prevent lots crashing and freezing:
  • Picking task now works when there are multiple lot servers.
  • When the server shuts down, actually close the application (was getting stuck on GluonHostPool and task server remaining open)
  • Disable cleanup function for everything but pets (lot freeze fix attempt, last one was typod)

Version beta/update-19 in Sunrise Crater

Tonight we have a small update that:
  • Adds some back-end logging to help the developer diagnose lot crashes
  • Fixes the Pizza group money object. It should force ingredient contributions to be reset on round start.

Version beta/update-18 in Sunrise Crater

The update tonight gives us a couple fixes:
  • Lots should no longer crash, causing Sims to become stuck.
  • Custom Content inside a players inventory should now display properly.

Version beta/update-17 in Sunrise Crater

In addition to a server patch yesterday which fixed the issue of lots not closing down correctly and trapping Sims, the client patch today includes:
  • Patch restaurant to avoid deleting objects in use.
  • Uses new FSOEngineQuery data variable, to perform complex queries into the lot state with high performance.
  • Server can now run without SSL certificates (remove "certificate" key/value pair in config.json)
  • Improve maintainance mode
  • CAS and Login error/general message improvements
  • WIP lot error display
