Highbrau Coat of Arms
|
|
An extraordinarily well-preserved coat of arms, this particular sword and escutcheon design dates back to the 13th century. While the Highbrau family emblems of eagle and worm are clearly distinguished, heraldry experts argue as to the symbolism of the paired colors. Typically interpreted as "Honor with courage", others believe them to signify, "Honor...with a tremendous amount of bloodshed." |
