"Russian Thistle" as it is also known, was accidentally transferred from the Ural Mountains to most of the world by careless Ukranian farmers. But this troublesome moving plant has been crossbred with cabbage, inhibiting the "rolling" gene from being activated in all future generations. Science marches on, but not the tumbleweed.
